Super Easy French Onion Soup

Makes 4 bowls. It doesn't get any easier than this!
1 jar YUMYIN
1 clove garlic
1 cup dry white wine
2 tablespoons butter
3-4 cups chicken or vegetable stock (how thick do you like your soup)
2 springs thyme
1 bay leaf
4 slices crusty bread or baguette
1 cup (3 ounces) freshly grated Gruyere cheese
Salt & Pepper to taste
On the stovetop in a medium size pot on medium high add: YUMYIN, Garlic, Butter, Wine, and salt to taste. Bring to a simmer for 5 minutes. The YUMYIN should be absorbing the wine.
Add the chicken stock to the pot and simmer for 10-15 more minutes.
Divide the onions and broth among 4 broiler safe bowl and place on a baking sheet (be sure the onions are evenly divided onion hog)
Turn your oven to broil
Toast the bread quickly (1 minute) in the oven then cover each bowl with a slice of bread
Sprinkle grated cheese on the bread, maybe a bit into the bowl too.
Broil until the cheese is golden and bubbling, 2-3 minutes
